About the author
Founded in 2005, KASAHOROW is an independent publisher that makes bilingual books for all ages. Our name “kasahorow” means “many languages” in Akan (a language spoken in Ghana, Africa). Our company grew from our humble beginnings in college where we began drafting our very first two products (our popular Akan Learner’s Dictionary and Modern Akan Dictionary), and now 20 years later, we have helped people connect between more than 100 languages.
KASAHOROW is an homage to our love story, which weaves the tale of a modern family. The academic, career and family journeys of the founders have led us to live in multiple countries, and as a result, we speak 6 languages in our home.
Our mission has always been to connect people all over the world and help them build safe relationships through understanding each other. While some people want to connect to a particular country or language for the purposes of travel or work, others want to connect to their heritage, their ancestors, and/or to communicate in the first language of their loved ones. Whatever the reason, we are here to help anyone who is looking for meaning and connection in their life.
We are currently investing considerable love into revising all of our language products after a change in operations management. We hope you enjoy using them as much as we enjoy creating them for you. To connect with us directly, find us on your favorite social media platform by searching for “kasahorow”. And to join our growing family, subscribe to our word-of-the-day newsletter.
